Daniel Sullivan, President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Sullivan is the President and CEO of PowerAdvocate. In 2000, he started the company with a mission to provide Market Intelligence to the Energy Industry to optimize performance. Mr. Sullivan has created a software-as-a-service delivery model where diverse teams of industry engineers and technology experts deliver PowerAdvocate's unique blend of technology, information and services to the energy industry. Prior to founding PowerAdvocate, Mr. Sullivan was a Vice President at Stone & Webster, and he also served as the Executive Assistant to the CEO for Strategy & Operations of Deutsche Babcock NA. Prior to business school, he held procurement positions at Brown & Root. Mr. Sullivan received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and graduated from West Point, serving in the Army Corps of Engineers.

In 2010, E&Y recognized Mr. Sullivan as a Finalist in the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the New England Region.

Charles Korn, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Korn is PowerAdvocate's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to co-founding PowerAdvocate, Mr. Korn has held positions as Vice President Finance and Administration at Nordic Refrigerated Services, Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Stone & Webster, and Senior Associate at Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Korn received an MBA from Wharton and an AB (magna cum laude) in Economics from Bowdoin. Mr. Korn is a CFA.

Joseph Levesque, Senior Vice President & Chief Product Officer

Mr. Levesque leads PowerAdvocate's technology organization and drives the product strategy and roadmap for PowerAdvocate’s market-leading Energy Intelligence Platform (EIP). He is responsible for the teams who develop PowerAdvocate’s unique Supply Market Intelligence including the Energy Intelligence Group, Spend Solutions Team and Supplier Intelligence Group. Joe is also responsible for configuration, training and support of the EIP, assisting customers in optimizing their use of PowerAdvocate solutions and collaborating with customers to define new product requirements. Prior to PowerAdvocate, Mr. Levesque worked in various technical, operations and management roles for Ariba, Intel and DuPont. Mr. Levesque received an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from MIT.

Mark McVay, Senior Vice President of Sales

Mr. McVay leads PowerAdvocate's Sales efforts. In this capacity, he is responsible for customer satisfaction and growth. Prior to joining PowerAdvocate, Mr. McVay was a sales director at Ariba. He also worked at Stone & Webster and was a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. Mr. McVay started his career as a US Naval Officer and as a nuclear engineer aboard an aircraft carrier. He received an MBA and an MS in Manufacturing Engineering from Stanford University. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the US Naval Academy.

Paul Smith, Vice President, Oil and Gas

Mr. Smith leads PowerAdvocate’s Marketing and Corporate Strategy groups and is responsible for driving revenue growth across core products and markets. Prior to joining PowerAdvocate, Mr. Smith was a Business Unit Manager at the C&M Corporation where he had P&L responsibility for high performance cables. Mr. Smith also spent several years as an engagement manager within the Marketing Strategy practice at the Monitor Group. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Union College.  

Rob Lightfoot, Managing Director of Client Services

Mr. Lightfoot is a Managing Director in PowerAdvocate’s client services area, which offers energy clients capital projects and supply chain-related consulting services, technology and consulting solutions, and market data. PowerAdvocate brings to bear unparalleled market data, business know-how in industry-specific supply chain areas, technology and consulting on unique industry problems. Mr. Lightfoot has over 15 years management consulting experience with boutique regulatory consulting firms, Boston Consulting Group, several Harvard Business School professors, Mitchell Madison Group, Silver Oak Solutions (which he cofounded and which was sold to CGI), CGI, and PowerAdvocate. He runs PowerAdvocate’s San Francisco office. His regulatory support work has focused on developing testimony to support changing from rate-of-return regulation to price regulation. Mr. Lightfoot’s recent work has been primarily with utility and oil & gas pipeline companies on their capital projects operations. Mr. Lightfoot has an honors degree from Harvard College in Economics and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. His clients have won numerous awards, including Cronin Gold award for best project in 50 states and Supply & Demand Chain Executive Top 100 projects, and been featured on cover articles nationally.  

William Conklin, Vice President, Technology

Mr. Conklin provides the vision for PowerAdvocate's technology architecture and leads PowerAdvocate's technology teams, including software engineering and quality assurance. Prior to co-founding PowerAdvocate, Mr. Conklin was Director of Software Development Activities at Stone & Webster. These responsibilities included the role of lead architect and project director in the development of a global engineering, procurement, construction, and asset management tool at a cost of over $15 million. Mr. Conklin received his MS in Engineering Management and BS in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern.

Timothy Dorsey, Managing Director of Client Services and General Counsel

As a Managing Director, Mr. Dorsey co-leads PowerAdvocate’s client services team and oversees both capital project and category management/strategic sourcing services engagements. On major capital project engagements, he applies his commercial expertise by advising clients on commercial approaches, delivery models/contracting strategies, contractor selection methodologies, and the development and execution of open book pricing reviews. Mr. Dorsey has successfully applied PowerAdvocate’s unique solutions to a number of new transmission line construction projects, environmental upgrades and gas pipeline projects.  As General Counsel, Mr. Dorsey is responsible for all of PowerAdvocate’s legal and contract matters. Prior to joining PowerAdvocate, Mr. Dorsey was senior counsel with Azurix Corp., counsel at Bechtel Power Corp., and an associate in the energy and project finance group at Vinson & Elkins LLP. Mr. Dorsey received his JD (cum laude) from Tulane Law School and a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
