Scrubber project savings success of over 500% ROI

Situation

Environmental scrubber project owner became alarmed when the first and second target price estimates rose steadily above the initial bid selection estimate. Data from alternative suppliers was captured and analyzed thanks to significant due diligence on the front end.

Results

In addition to driving down the cost 10% by going out to the market, the owner was able to reduce costs further by applying OBPP in negotiations with the second contractor, with a total savings of 15%.
