Situation

Client was responsible for the purchase and timely delivery of over $130M of equipment and materials for a major transmission line project.

Results

Using Sourcing Intelligence, the client executed 25 RFIs over two weeks. The client used the market data to develop project procurement estimates, to establish a project procurement plan and to finalize its bidders’ list. 

Client then used Sourcing Intelligence to execute all project RFPs in line with the procurement plan and saved over $4M against the project estimate

  • All project procurement was completed in line with the project schedule
  • Sourcing intelligence ensured all procurement information was collected in an easily accessible and auditable format

Situation

A major utility had over 30 major capital projects to execute over the next 5 years, but was unsure whether there were enough labor resources available to successfully complete the project.

Results

Using the Market Intelligence tool to collect data on the labor needs for over 250 ongoing projects, PowerAdvocate discovered a shortage of labor supply vs. demands over the next 5 years.

PowerAdvocate is working with the client to structure frameworks to help the client adapt the project to these constraints.
